to your first reading.
With your monitor installed and powered on, choose the connection that works for your phone or computer. No software installation is needed.
Start with the monitor’s Wi-Fi
Connect directly to the monitor’s own Wi-Fi first. Then add your home network for everyday use.

Connect with Bluetooth
- Power on your monitor.
Turn on Bluetooth on your phone or computer and keep the monitor close by.
- Open S9 Energy.
Use a supported browser and tap Open my monitor, then Connect my monitor.
- Choose the device whose name starts with S9-Energy.
If asked, enter its six-digit Bluetooth PIN. A new monitor starts with 123456; use your own PIN if you changed it.
- Wait for “Bluetooth connected”.
Your installed connections and their readings will appear. You can now use Bluetooth, or add home Wi-Fi below.
Keep one Bluetooth viewer open per monitor. Close its other S9 tabs or disconnect Bluetooth on the other phone before connecting here.
For everyday use
Add your home Wi-Fi
First connect to the monitor using Bluetooth or its own Wi-Fi. Your home network must support 2.4 GHz.
- Open Wi-Fi setup in the monitor app.
Choose your home network. Tap Find networks if it is missing, or enter its name.
- Enter your home Wi-Fi password.
Tap Connect to Wi-Fi. Keep the monitor powered on and allow up to 35 seconds.
- Wait for “Connected to” and your network name.
Put your phone or computer on that same home network.
- Tap Use Wi-Fi.
The app opens the monitor’s local address. Bookmark that page for next time. If you are already using it, the button says Open Wi-Fi dashboard.
Your monitor saves the network details. It will try to reconnect after a restart. If you change routers or passwords, open Wi-Fi setup and choose Change network.
A guest network may block devices from seeing one another. Networks that require a browser sign-in or a work/school username are not supported.
Option 2
Connect without Bluetooth
- Power on the monitor and open your phone or computer’s Wi-Fi settings.
Join the network starting with S9-Energy. Its password is S9Energy2026.
- Stay connected if your device says “No internet”.
This is expected. You are connected directly to the monitor.
- Open the monitor page in your browser.
New monitors use http://192.168.4.1/. Type the address into the browser’s address bar.
If it does not open, look at that Wi-Fi network’s details and open the address called Router or Gateway. The monitor may have changed its setup address to avoid a clash with your home network.
- Choose Wi-Fi setup and add your home network.
Follow the home Wi-Fi steps above, then switch your phone or computer back to your home Wi-Fi and open the monitor’s saved address.
Once connected
Check your first readings
The first measuring point is called Solar Power. In Monitor settings, you can rename it and choose what it measures.
Check that the battery or equipment you are monitoring is connected. Power and current may be near zero when equipment is switched off or a battery is neither charging nor supplying power.
The graph starts collecting after connection and shows a new point every 10 seconds. Choose Save now before unplugging to keep the latest totals.

For Bluetooth, open S9 Energy and connect nearby. For Wi-Fi, use the bookmark for your monitor while you are on the same network.
The public website needs internet to load. The monitor’s own Wi-Fi page works locally without internet. Remote viewing from outside your home network is not part of the current app.
